Mr. MacDonald is responsible for the evaluation and execution of Liquid Realty's investment opportunities. He was formerly an associate at Babcock & Brown, a global real estate and infrastructure private equity firm with over $20 billion of funds under management. At B&B, Mr. MacDonald was focused on the origination and underwriting of JV equity investments with North American real estate operating partners, completing approximately $150 million of acquisition and development projects.
Mr. MacDonald was also previously with General Electric's Global Sponsor Finance Group, where he underwrote acquisition financing for private equity-sponsored leveraged buyouts. In this role, Mr. MacDonald completed over $500 million of transaction volume, oversaw a $250 million loan portfolio, and completed GE's two-year Financial Management Program. He also completed rotations in a variety of business groups, including GE Real Estate Equity Partners and GE Insurance.
Mr. MacDonald holds an Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, where he was recognized with First Year Honors, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Indiana University with minors in Business and French.
